So sweetie let me repeat… I’m the Mad Hatter.

So Mirriam did a makeup thing because Katie did a makeup thing because Jenny did a makeup thing.
I praised Mirriam's makeup thing and Mirriam told me to do the same makeup thing.

well I attempted to.

halfway through, (ok. thirty seconds in) I had gotten way off course and was drawing a harlequin pattern around my eye, a red heart on my left cheekbone (not pictured) and outrageously glossy red lipstick.

I think my makeup thing, while not the look I was supposed to have gone for turned out well enough and it's enlightened me to the fact that I really want a Miss Hatter cosplay.  I want to go for a playfully mad look, while still hinting at just a bit of dangerous, because Wonderland isn't a very safe place, to survive there you must be utterly mad, and very threatening.
A whole 'poisoned tea and dainty laughs of frightening natures' sort of mix up.

What can I say, I get a kick out of a mentally unstable Wonderland crew.

I guess it's normal, when doing a makeup thing, to discuss products and procedures.
but I am a mad moron and don't know what I used (and probably used it improperly anyway).

Basically, I took this concealer and powdery stuff, ya know the basics, and used them as directed. And then I took a bunch of blush and hoped I didn't look like a Victorian streetwalker.
then I found this brown makeup face paint stuff in the bottom of my mum's makeup bag and made a triangle over my right eye with it. that was hard, and I think my triangle is still lopsided.
But it was brown, and I didn't want a dull, non shimmery brown, so I took this soft green, glittery powder that I won from a giveaway and never figured out how to use and put it on the slight sticky brown triangle.
it stuck.
and looked maddeningly fab.
I added a lip liner heart (I told you I used stuff wrong) and then added bold red lipstick with a shiny red lip gloss over it because the matte lipstick was not working with the glittery blue triangle.
then I shook my hair out (it was in a floppy bun during this whole procedure), grabbed my hat from the top shelf and grinned like a hatter.
and then I took pictures (with my phone, hence the blur).

and that's it.

(Note To Jenny: I'm sorry. Mirri told me to do Plenilune and I did Wonderland)
(Note To Mirriam: how can I blame this on you?)

this is actually the first time I've actually played around like this with makeup gloob, but my interest has been peaked. I'm going to have to balance my book funds with makeup funds now.

because crazy colors for crazy projects must be a good idea.

So. Humor? (ATSL day 3)

So, day 3 of the "Single Ladies" blog party hosted at "Just As I Am"!
I did, respectfully skip day 2, as I couldn't think of how to participate in that one. But, here I am now!

So. Humor?

Day 3 asks us to laugh at our singleness. For, in all things, there is something to laugh at, even if bitter. At least, I think there is. But, sometimes I'm like Glinda, and I think grand thoughts about things that aren't so.

Well, I don't have many laughable stories to tell you about my single life....but there is one...

I have this friend, bless her heart, she is a sweet one. She is almost in her Thirties, so she IS older than myself, but I still consider her a friend.

Little did I know that she was also a matchmaker....

This friend has a you her brother who, huzzah! Is the same age, roughly, as myself.

Can you tell where this is going?

Anyway, we hadn't known each other for long before she began selling the praise of her brother. How WONDERFUL he was in academics! All the girls in his school would just swoon if he paid attention to them (ok. So, maybe she didn't say JUST that...)
But I, being the absentminded, I-Could-care-less lass I am, I just smiled and agreed with her and changed the topic.

So, she stepped it up.

She began to bring her brother along with her when she went to events she knew I'd be attending. And frankly, I think he was as interested in me as I was in himself. (Ok. I'll admit...he was a /little/ cute. But just not my style of cute....).
So, she told both me, AND my mother about how we were practically the genderbent versions of each other. Interests, hobbies, passions, we were just SO ALIKE!
And at that moment, it hit me like a baseball bat to the cranium what she was trying to do. And I think he figured it out too, as our eyes met once, and the glance was purely apologetic.
And then, I heard about a week later, he had gotten a girl friend, so his Match making sister had to drop her efforts. But I must give it to her, Had I been open to the idea, she'd have done good. She was almost convincing as it was.
I truly feel sorry for her brother...at least I only had to deal with her match making when we saw each other, but he is her BROTHER.

Sisters have can be highly persistent. Especially older sisters

But, we haven't spoken of her dear brother since, and I am quite fine by that.

So, thats the funniest digs I have to give...
want some pinterest now?

PERFECT for this event, no?

So, I hope you dearly beloved followers have been enjoying my single-ness posts, albeit, there have only been two.
but two is better than uno, right?
Anyway....eh...news news news...I had news to give you...ah!

Monday is my birthday.
Just saying.
And...Tomorrow I'm going on a shopping/early birthday trip with my Mum and oldest younger sister (Shauna).

Well, thats all for now.
Cheerio my ol' cream crackers.

Meeting Grace And Emma.

{Warning: Lotsa pictures in this here post}

I got to meet two very lovely Ladies this Wednesday.
Grace from 'Love Poured Out' and Emma from 'Whimsical Chatter'.

Grace had contacted me a few weeks ago, informing me they would be coming into Alabama, and wondering if there was a way we could meet up. To be honest, I pretty much knew my parents were going to say no. But, after talking with them they were all gungho for it! (Long story, I told Daddy, then he forgot, and not wanting to be pushy, I kept waiting, then, finally, a week before when we had hoped to meet, I brought the topic up again, and got the affirmative).  It really surprised, and excited me, as you can well imagine.

Me and Grace worked out the details, such as where we'd meet, what time, the day, and then we waited. It was only a couple days, but shooo, those were some of the hardest waiting I've ever done!

We had settled on meeting at a Golden Corral in Destin, which was a good location, since Destin was pretty much right in between both of us.

They got there before us, since one of our littles (Yes! All of us went! Which also surprised me. I had imagined only me and Daddy would probably end up going, if I did)  gets car sick easily, and we had to stop to let her take a breather.  and when we had pulled up, gotten out of the van, and ya know, settled the little girls. (Hair, socks, shoes...all those things go berserk on them when being in a vehicle for more than 30 minutes) they started walking towards them.

I did not squeal. But I wanted to. Badly. Instead, I behaved like a well raised Young Adult, and just ran towards them, and hugged them all. ;-D

We chatted, and ate, and then headed out to the Beach. As, I was to find out, Destin has some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

A Pirate ship! floating around! Daddy (He goes to Destin quite frequently) says it gives rides.... ermergersh. I want a ride on a pirate ship oh so badly....

Grace will probably Internet strangle me for posting these canon pictures I've got of her.... But, to hopefully appease her, "Grace, if you've got any pictures of me, you may also post them". Cringing? Me? Cringing? Nah...ok...maybe a little bit....
Oye! I think we have a castaway!

I do enjoy taking pictures of sea birds...its therapeutic to sneak up on them. I could positively do it all day.
And wave pictures. Thats also calming. Forget the sound of waves...All I need is a camera and the action of waves.

It was so fun seeing how well our parents got along!

And, My little Sisters had a blast with Beth, and I'm assuming it's the same vis versa...but I'm just assuming. ;-)

 that look. XD

See how clear the water is? It was the most beautiful water I have ever seen. Destin's beaches are now my favorite beaches in the world. And, seeing how I'm not a beachy person....thats saying a lot that I actually loved this one.

Grace faces the world of Water. XD

 Beth and Emma.

Another Canon moment with Grace Anna!

I'm getting more daring with my wave pictures, holding the camera still until there is only a macro second before it gets splashed...
I'm going to ruin my camera.

Ashley restrained herself, and did not step on the dunes, nor picked the weedy things. The state protects them, and It is oh so tempting to pick and step on the things...but I wont. I wont. I wont. I wont. (Keep repeating it, and it shall drive the temptation from my head, I'm sure...)

Yes. I had A LOT of fun with Grace and Emma. Both are very sweet girls.

And, oh, I knew I was forgetting something...

Proof of our in fact meeting!
Pardon the wet and drippy looking me, I couldn't change, as the bathrooms had been shut out already, but oh well. XD
 Me and Grace.
Me and Emma.

And their whole beautiful family. ^.^

It really was a blast, I hope to someday get to visit with them again.
*kiss kiss hug hug*

OH.
Totally off topic, but all living people need to see THIS.
