A Very Phantom Party

I am your Angel of Music. Come to the angel of music... I am your Angel of Music. Come to the Angel of Music...

This weekend I had the honor of attending a dear Friend's 13th birthday party.
 Phantom of the Opera themed.

As many of you know, POTO is a huge love of mine. Actually, that needs to be repeated. HUGE HUGE HUGE HUUUUGGEEE!!!!! love of mine.  I watched the trailer for the 2004 movie, and even though I knew nothing of the plot, or story, I felt drawn.  I felt grief for the poor masked man. And then I read the book, and was hooked. Heart, soul, and mind. I cried myself to sleep the night after finishing it.  I couldn't believe Christine had rejected Erik for RAOUL. (I still can't believe it. I mean, COME ON. What does Raoul have that Erik doesn't have 100% better?).

So when I heard that this party was being planned, I was already looking forward to it. Then the invitations arrived, it was requested, but not needed, that we come in masquerade fashion.  I was even more overjoyed. Dressing in costumes are just my THING. I love masks, gowns, frilly hats, trains, and feathers.

My costumes really needs a post of its own, so I wont go into to much detail on its production, except that I have had the fabric for 2 years, and the pattern for 1 year. This was the push to finally make it. And I procrastinated. Finishing it a mere 10 minutes before having to walk out the door for the party.

(Up above, I'm the lass in the blue and white medieval gown with the white, feather topped mask. Almost in the middle)

Let your mind start a journey
through a strange new world!
Leave all thoughts
of the world you knew before!
Let your soul take you where you
long to be !
Only then can you belong to me ...

I actually had never met Lina (The birthday lady), so when we first got there, it was just a bit awkward. But I think we hit off relatively well.  (Lina is the girl in the pink dress and pink mask).  When I first got out of the vehicle, I had to contain a small fangirl attack right then and there.

They had hired a guy to dress and act like Erik.

Yeah. I was going to have an overload unless I managed to get myself under control. Which I did. I am glad to tell you all I did, in fact, not rush and hug that poor unsuspecting fellow.

And you got to love my totally derpy face up ^there^.

You will curse the day you did not do all that the Phantom asked of you!

Mr. Erik-man put on a little performance for us, we had a little open mic singing (Which, I did do. I was so terrified, but, I think it has helped me.  Now, I'd be less scared to sing in front of a crowd....I can't have stage fright if I want to be a Musical performer).
Me and a girl named Bethany (Who I did exchange contact info with, she was awesome ^.^) sang
'Think of Me' then the radio broke, so that was the end of that.

There was a party game that tied in with the ring Erik gave Christine in the story.  We were all given a little golden ring, and were supposed to keep it, and not lose it, all through the night. Sound easy? No. You lose the ring if you said the word 'Phantom'. Whoever caught you saying it was allowed to take your ring. Whoever had the most rings at the end of the night won a prize.

Try not saying 'Phantom' at a Phantom of the Opera party. It's harder then you think.

I lost my ring once, then got it, and then got another ring, so I did ok. But Bethany had like, 10 rings. XD Ring mogul.

Pitiful creature of darkness...
What kind of life have you known?
God give me courage to show you you are not alone...

Everything was just perfect. We weren't able to stay for the sleep over  and movie part (I'm GOING to buy POTO one day...That way I can watch it each time I need a cry) but I still had a blast. I made new friends, and just enjoyed myself completely.

I fangirled, laughed, fake fainted (It was a MAGNIFICENT collapse. I do wish they had gotten a picture of that), won a contest for most answers to a POTO trivia game, and was stuffed most wonderfully on the delicious dinner that the cater's served. French catering. I think yes, thank you.  And had a lovely amount of chocolate.

I completely enjoyed myself.

Sadly, all images are NOT mine. They are completely and wholly property of  Mesa Cole Photography.  As you can tell, she is a WONDERFUL photographer, with a clever eye. Give her a look, will ya? It's the least I can ask, seeing how I stole her pictures.

Oh, My Brother got a blog. He hasn't posted anything yet, but he hopes to get into this 'thing' called blogging.

And then a few friends and I started a RP blog! (Oh Ellyn, I'm having many flashbacks from Cleiti days. And discovering JUST how hard being a mod is....). Give us a look through at 'The Incantevole Tales', if you want. ^.^ FYI, I write Bly and Xander,

Masq

As some of you might know (If you DON'T know, I think we need to have a talk) that I'm a pretty big Phantom of the Opera phangirl. Since reading the book, I have loved all things Cloak, Mask, Masquerade, Opera, and othersuchnonsense. Sadly, I have never been able to get my own mask as of yet. I've been eyeing a few on Etsy, but they were still pititfully out of my price range. Well, my mom went mall shopping (By herself! She is getting to be a big girl! ;-) Luv you mum ♥) and she texted me this picture of a wall. full. of. masks. Jetser masks, Half Masks, Mardi Gras masks, Feather masks, Ornate masks, if it was a mask, they had it.
Naturally, I got on my knees and begged for her to get me one.  After much laughter on her side, and teasing, also on her side, and tears and heart felt pleas, all from me,  she said she would. Then she asked the fatal question, "Which do you want?"

".............Uhm.....well....That pink one with all the feathers, no, the bird mask! no, its to gaudy, get the half mask! Wait...that white one is pretty, and would go well with the dress I'm making...But, THE BIRD MASK IS SO ASSASSINS CREED DOCTOR! But, then again, it is way to gaudy...and that pink one...I love it!! BUT THE WHITE ONE!!!"

Finally, I just asked her to surprise me. As, if I would be there for the next 100 years, still going back and forth. All that would be left would be a skelaton, holding an out of date iphone, and creaking to itself which mask it wanted. My remains would be a mystery for future generations.

So, I waited rather inpateintly for her to get back, and then when she did, I fairly snatched the Earth☻Bound (That was the company name) hideous yellow bag away, and peeked inside.

She had gotten me the most prettiest, dazzlingest mask on the face of the Earth. As you can see from the above pictures, its white (The mentioned white one, BTW) with sparkles, and a ridiculusly amazing amount of feather poofyness. I hardly took it off for the rest of the evening. I even did the kitchen in it.

And then, right before Bed, I paitned around my eyes black, and put my mask on over it, which I think has a very mysterious, and pretty affect. (The bottom row of pics, the far left and far right ones are with the makeup). But...Without the mask, I looked like a Ghoul. Shall you see?

My little sister refused to let me hold her, and One of my instagram followers said I looked like a "Totally different person". Makeup artist in the making? XD

Anyway. I now own a Masquerade mask. I now own THE BEST masquerade mask. I am now going to wear it to walmart someday.

Yep. Yep. Yeppo.

Uglies

I don't understand myself. Aren't we supposed to fall in love with the Prince Charming in Fairy Tales? Not the old troll. But I don't. In Phantom of the Opera, I detested Raoul, even though he was beautifully handsome, a Viscount, and Christine's obvious love. And I loved Erik. The ugly, terrible, hideous Erik. The man with very likely mental problems. The man who preferred darkness and gloom to light. But wasn't opposed to Christine showing him light.
Credit
Then in the Inheritance Cycle. The moment Durza was introduced, my heart quickened. I tossed Eragon aside, and went after the Shade. The ugly, horrid, evil Shade.

I'm reading a book called "Ashes, Ashes" by Jo Treggiari. In it, we have two brothers. One toned, handsome, funny, totally lovable. The other is a survivor of a illness between the Bird Flu and the Zombie virus. His skin has a charred look, and his eyes are red. He dresses like the grim reaper, while wearing a mask so he won't scare people with his looks. I'm very certain you can guess my favorite.
Credit

What is wrong with me? Why do I love the ugly, unlovable, horrid people? Am I a goth under my retro, pink self?

And then, there is a book Mirriam is writing. I'm a beta-reader, and I can't give you much details since I don't know how much I CAN give away (just, let me say....it's aaawwwweeessssoooommmmeeeee!!!)
But there is a certain character, considered a monster, he appears hardly human. Black tears, glowing eyes, etc etc....but I actually wept for him. My heart hurt so bad for this man. All he needs is love.

Untitled from Myfonwy O'Neal on Vimeo.

When I read books with terrible monsters, I always cry, and think, "Oh, if only somebody loved them, they would never be like this".
Credit

If somebody had loved Erik, he would've never lived under the Opera house, never would he have kidnapped Christine, never wept over his own face. For he would know somebody loved him without a thought of his face.
Credit

If someone loved Durza, he might not have needed to become evil to get his ways. If somebody had shown him true, enduring love, he wouldn't have even considered being vile.

If someone loved Monster (he does have a name...but...I don't know if I can say it) he might not have been put into the Underneath to start with. Those who loved him wouldn't have let that happen.

Sammy from "Ashes, Ashes" got sick, and someone already did love him. 2 somebodies, actually. But he wasn't afraid to show his face at times. He didn't weep over those who were scared of him. He made it his goal to become friends with them. That's what Erik could've been. Sammy is Erik, with a different story.

I could go on. Darth Vader (I think his problem was to much love. Another reason to hate Anakin. But that goes for another post..), The Hirogen, Loki, Moriarty. I'm always liking the terrible villains who should be despised. But I don't. I love them. I dream of them.

What is wrong with me?

*NOTE*
None of these images are mine. All our 'borrowed'. I have the credit under each one. I dinna steal, so don't accuse me.

::Just a Wee Phantom Ramble::

Life's been itself here lately. Nothing to huge, nothing to dramatic. Just itself. I'm currently listing two new items at my Etsy Shop, and Listening to 'Phantom of the Opera'. I must tell you, I have been captured by Erik yet again. It happens about once a month. I'll be going my little, own way, and I'll see a POTO pic, or hear a song....and I'm rehooked. For 2 weeks, I'll not be able to think of anything else. Erik will dwell in my dreams, and It's all I can do to not break out singing "You'll give your love to me, for Love is blind".
And the trigger point this time, was ^that^. Ohmigoshbubbles. Let me repeat that, Ohmigoshbubbles. All I can sing sing is "Look with your Heart" and "The Beauty Underneath". The story is sad, ubber ubber sad. I mean, REALLY REALLY sad. I do like, however, Raoul's portayal. Drunk, pitiful, annoying, Worthless Raoul? Bless you ALW. Bless You.{Getting off topic} Hearing the song "All I Ask of You" when Raoul and Christine are singing it brings tears to me eyes. But, as Christine says, "Tears of Hate". And then when Erik sings it to Christine, What does the brat do? Rips his mask off, and reveals him to the whole Opera. More Tears of hate.  {Back to LND}.

The Fact that Erik and Christine have a son is a bit, OK, more then a bit, disturbing. First off, its pretty much impossible. and Second off, its pretty immoral. It DID provide a nice little plot twist. I somehow knew it the whole time, though. Somehow. I just don't know how.  People may slur Love Never Dies as they wish though, they can call it cheap and cheesy. They can call it boring, I still like it. It will never be the same as the original, but it is still pretty good.

At the end of the school year, our homeschool group does this little performance/speech/thingamajig
that we grandly call 'The End of the Year Party'. We are SO ingenious.  Anyway, Me and Evan have decided what we will do next year. He shall play 'Think of Me' on the piano, and I shall debut in my Broadway career, and sing it! And I'm gonna try to get my hair and a dress as alike to Christine's as a I can. naturally, I'll want mine to be a little more modest, but I'll still face the small 20-30 person crowd, and pretend I'm singing in the Paris Opera house, as I someday wish to do.

Ok. Probably boring all you non Phans out there.

Sorry.

I'm such Phangirl, so, you must just put up with me.

Tootles, and may the Music of the Night never be done,

Phantom of the Opera

So, Ever since I read the novel (by Gaston Leroux) I have loved POTO, and now, I REALLY REALLY want to own the movie. Must. Buy. From. Wal-mart. Soon. And I have listened to ALL the songs. And for awhile, I sang them, without thinking. Well, one day, while singing 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here' with Christine, I made a realization. With a few tweaks and much practice, I could very likely copy her voice. And, so my musical journey began. Ask my family, I sang that song none stop. I sang it in the shower, I sang it while washing dishes, I sang it while working, while playing, all. the. time.  And, with much practice, I now can do a fairly good mimic of Emmy's voice in that particular song. It is, in fact, a very easy song to copy her voice in. High enough to have some practice involved (I naturally used to sing lower notes, but since trying to copy her voice, my voice has actually changed, and I now sing higher), but not terribly high, not at all like 'Phantom of the Opera' is. But, it has been my goal to sing Phantom of the Opera. I had tried, and failed. I couldn't get the last really high notes without cracking and running out of breath.  So, instead I went back to WYWSH. Perfecting it, just singing it.  But, I'd like to one day play Christine Daae in a play (don't talk to me about my hair color...it can be fixed). That would involve singing ALL the songs. And so, I've gotten to work.

And today.

I did it.

I sang it.

All.

High notes, low notes, everything.

I've never felt prouder, and worst at the same time.  Does anybody know how much the song hurts? really, stretching my vocal muscles that much was painful. But, I didn't stop. Like a dancer with bleeding feet, I had to continue.  I gave myself a headache from lack of oxygen, and from the pure pressure on my head from singing so high. My lungs hurt terribly, they felt stretched and pulled (and they probably were). My throat felt tired (if you know what I mean. It didn't *hurt* or feel *stretched* just, tired feeling) And I couldn't catch my breath for a couple of minutes. But I did it. I sang Phantom of the Opera.

I felt so entirely proud, I felt like I had completely something so big.

True, it wasn't perfect, I slipped up twice where I took longer getting my breath between lines then Emmy did (how does she do it?). I have a lot more practice to do before it is perfect. And I need to perfect my higher notes still.  It just makes my heart happy to know, Emmy had 5 years of Voice lessons, and I've had none. Absolutely none. That doesn't mean I don't want them. I do. I'm just happy I can mostly sing like a 5 year graduate of voice lessons, and Musical singer, and all that goodness.

However, I just tried to sing it, and messed up big time. I think my voice needs more rest then I thought. It cracked out on my early on, poor little vocal muscles, am I working you too hard? GET USED TO IT SUCKERS!

Signed with a white mask,
P.S Does those huge concrete angels give you shivers as well? They look like huge Weeping Angels!! Don't turn your back Christine!!

"And try you will"

Watched The Hunger Games today.  I added it to my life events on Facebook.

Haters gonna hate, potato's gonna potate, but I LOVED the movie.  I cried, I smiled, I jumped, I saluted.  I loved it all.

Start off, the tribute costumes...I want one like District 12's.  AHHHH!!! CAN I PUHLEEZE BE ON FIRE? Why can't I have a Cinna? why? Why? Why?

Someone in the Cineman went "Awww!" at this point.

You know, instead of posting random pictures and thoughts, maybe I should do this more orderly...

All week Me, Joanna, and Emily had this little outing to see the Games planned.  I will admit, that was the reason for my lack of posting.  All I could think about was The Hunger Games. And I didn't want to bog you readers down with endless fan posts.  I try not to make that happen to often.  Anyway, I had an app on my phone counting down the Days, hours, Minutes and Seconds until we could watch it.

We got at the Cinema a few (as in, twenty) minutes early, and I was waiting rather impatiently for Emily, her mom and Sister Kayli to show up.  (Joanna wasn't able to watch the movie with us).  I kept checking my countdown app to see how many minutes were left.
Finally, the other ladies got there, and we bought our tickets, popcorn, candy and Dr. Pepper, and sat down.  Do you know just how annoying those trailers before the movie can be? UGH!  We had to sit through Breaking Dawn 2, Snow White and the Huntsman (Which looked AWESOME), the new Spider man (also Awesome)...and...I think they were all.  It felt like there were 1000 trailers.

At first, the way they did the cameras did bother me.  It was a little jiggly.  But, after watching it for 5 minutes (I've used time references a lot in this post...) I got used to it, and even grew to like it.

A few highlights of the film for me:

Gale. Is. The. Cutest.  I know girls go gaga over Peeta, and while I don't hate him anymore (He is ok in his own right), Gale is still my favorite between the two.

Cinna.  I detected NO gay traits in him AT ALL.  In fact, if you see Cinna, send him my way.  Cinna is the best thing since creation.

The Tribute Entry.  Oh my Gollygoodness.  It was amazing.  Peeta and Katniss' entry was..blazing hot! Loved it! I want a suit like Katniss'. Badly.

Rue's Death.  Honestly, this was a very sad scene, but for the first time ever, I did a brave thing.  A daring thing. A big thing.  I am a outgoing person, but with people I know.  And I'm not one for making a scene, or drawing attention to myself. But, I knew if I never did it, then I could never live with myself.  When Katniss saluted the crowd after Rue died...Me, Kayli, and Emily did as well.  We kissed our three fingers, and held them high proudly.  I did something very big right then.  Aren't you all proud?

Haymitch.  I was a little nervous about what my Mom would think about the movie, but she loved it! And..she liked Hatmitch best.  She chuckled a few times over his sarcastic snips.  We all love our toughies, don't we?

The tidiness.  I know the reviewer a ranted about earlier thought it much to gory, but I must say, it was very well done.  Outside of little scratches, and burns, the only true bloodiness was on Cato after he and Thresh dueled it out (or did the Mutts attack them?) and when Rue was speared, and that was only a little red spot on her shirt.  When Cato was attacked by the Mutts, it didn't even show him, just a dark outline as he was laying in the shadows.

Also, THE MUTTS WERE HORRIFYING!!! If you haven't watched The Hunger Games yet...be prepared. They are gonna jump out, and scare you.  I was smart, and closed my eyes. Mama didn't, and she jumped.

The Things that kinda bummed me out was how 1) Peeta didn't lose his leg. 2) I think the movie was made for the Fans.  My Mom, never having read the book, didn't understand everything, so I had to explain a lot. 3) Some small details in the Arena were left out. 4) There wasn't more details on Katniss' 'flock of parrots' (AKA, her prep team). 5) Katniss didn't break Peeta's heart in the train at the end, but maybe they plan to do that in Movie 2.  Oh, something I forgot to mention that I liked...In the book, Katniss and Peeta kissed close to 5 times, in the movie it was only twice. I really liked that.

And Caesar was hilarious. Love'im!

After the movie was over, us girls went to a Chinese Buffet, where Joanna met us.  While we were there, this waiter really annoyed me. My two younger brothers are young giants, and I hardly ever go anywhere without them, but tonight, it was just us ladies. Boy oh Boy. Never did I realize just how so doggone annoying stranger guys can be!!  This waiter would not leave us girls alone!!  Jo made a few comments, like, "Don't you have work to do?" and he said, "Oh, yeah, I have 3 jobs!".  Dude, that wasn't what she meant.  He kept trying to talk to us, and whenever we'd stop talking to him, and chat in among ourselves, he would jump into our conversation.  I wanted to slap him, and drag his little behind into the kitchen.  Go make some sushi, or something.  Anyway, we girls decided to go chat outside after we were finished eating (which didn't take long, since we had eaten way to much popcorn).  The moms stayed inside for a little longer, while we just..small talked. I guess.  And watched a youtube video of guys falling in Wal-Mart. Yeah.

This guy was cool.  Flame beard? Totally diggin' it.  I want my guy to have a flame beard.  Cuz Seneca wears a flame beard, flame beards are now cool.  I was really sorry Stupid Snow had him killed....Rotten, stupid, stinkin' President Snow.
Then we went to Dairy Queen. Where I got a Iced Hot Chocolate. Which, dearest readers...is heaven covered chocolate in a cup.  Oh, good.  I probably bottomed out my unhealthy eating for a week.  Then, we girls talked about brothers...iphones...Music...and a whole lot of stuff I wont remember until some random moment in the future.  That is the way my brain processes new information.

Then, it was close to 10, and we went home.  A thoroughly fun afternoon.  The moms, (My Mother, and Mrs. Susan) decided we should do that sort of thing more often.  Like every other month have a girl's night out.  Even if we only go to Dairy Queen and chat.  It would still be fun! And I seriously need to see Emily and Kayli more often.

Anyway, I had a blast.  And it's 11:55, and I'm not tired.  Maybe it is the amounts of sugar, but it is probably my horrid insomnia.  OH! OH! OH!!!! Last night, I could'nt get to sleep, so I turned on my music...nothing was helping. So, I went to youtube, and turned on the POTO song, "Music of the Night".

Which, is becoming my all time favorite Phantom of the Opera song.  I just LOVE the emotion Erik shows.  And how he seems like he is at his most tenderest, weakest, and like he...he...how do I describe it? I dunno. He seems so feeble, and emotional.  I like that.

But, anyway, I turned it on, and was asleep before the song was over.  When I woke up this morning, the importance of that dawned on me.
Here is a conversation between me and my oldest younger brother, Evan.

Me: "Erik sang me to sleep last night!! And it worked!!".
Evan: "What are you talking about?!?!"
Me: I listened to Music of the Night, and it got me to sleep when nothing else could!!"
Evan: O_o.
Me: "Don't you see?!?! 'In sleep he sang to me'....???"
Evan" o_O

My brothers have pretty much decided I'm a raving lunatic not to be annoyed.

Well, goodnight!

Signed with Gold eyeshadow....

-Ashley.

Literary Heroine Blog Party!

This is my first time doing this particular party. But as soon as I saw Alexandria's entry, I knew this was an event I couldn't miss out on!
Enjoy my friends!
Oh, if you aren't a classical novel type, just skip this whole post. You wont understand or perhaps even like it. Just saying.

Introduce yourself!  Divulge your life's vision, likes, dislikes, aspirations, or something completely random!

My life's vision: Oh boy, this could be very complex.  Right now, I'll just simply state, I would enjoy writing for my career, and would like a ministry with Older people.  I really enjoy Older folks.
My Likes: Books (Make'em big!), Movies, Sci-Fi, Classics, Blogging, writing, Erik/Phantom of the Opera, Europe, Sherlock Holmes, The color pink, anything Retro.
Dislikes: Egoistic people (except if they are my characters, or from a book!), Bad Grammar (kill me with a knife!), the colors yellow and green if they are very bright, Salmon Paddies, and the Summer. Yes, I hate summer time.
I wont even go into aspirations.
I have eaten Squid before.  It was like eating a tire, or rubber glove.

What, to you, forms the essence of a true heroine?
Not someone who has it all, or has it all together, but who people can count on. Always.
Share (up to) four heroines of literature that you most admire and relate to.
Alice Kingsley.  I am always chasing rabbits (figuratively, of course!), and thinking up absurd things with my active imagination.  Plus, some fashion is "Like a Codfish" to me.
I'm very much like Jo.  Temper included.
I even took a quiz once, and it gave me Anne.  So, I'm not the only one to think I'm like her.
And as for the ones I admire, Lady Blackney, and Irene Adler. No doubts there.
Five of your favorite historical novels?

I adore this novel. Nuf said.
This one too.
I love me some Holmes.
My favorite Jane Austin novel!  I love the wit and I love Mr. Darcy!
Even while this isn't a popular book, it has the makings to be! My review HERE.

Out of those five books who is your favorite main character and why?

You do understand you are putting my in a rather hard place, don't you? at first, I planned on saying, "Erik, duh".  But I don't know if he is truly  the main character...but rather a secondary.
Hmm...Oh, wait. Duh.  Why am I even have to think about this?
Sherlock Holmes.
I love Marguerite Blackeney, And Christine Daae, but not the same way as my Holmesie.  See? Even the way I say his name, "MY HolmesIE".

Out of those five books who is your favorite secondary character and why?

Erik.  Erik of my heart.

If you were to plan out your dream vacation, where would you travel to - and what would you plan to do there?

 London and Paris.

In London, I would go to the typical tourist attractions (and find a charming apartment to rent, and move into) Then, visit the one and only 221B Baker Street.  I would find a lovely Tea shop, and have a splendid Tea time every day of my visit.

In Paris, I would Visit the Eiffel tower, and spend half the day wandering around trying to photograph the tower from different perspectives.  Then, I would go to see an Opera in the Paris Opera house, and try to get box 5.  I wonder if they give tours to the caverns below the opera?

What is your favorite time period and culture to read about?

It doesn't really matter to me.  I have favorite books in many cultures and time periods.

You have been invited to perform at the local charity concert. Singing, comedy, recitation - what is your act comprised of?

I'd like to sing, but I'm rather afraid I would be to bashful, and resort to merely recitation.

If you were to attend a party where each guest was to portray a heroine of literature, who would you select to represent?
I adore her nose and curls!
So many heroines...and only one me! I'd have to think long and hard between Marguerite Blackney and Christine Daae.

What are your sentiments on the subject of chocolate?

Enough of anything is bad for you.
I have weak teeth, so I adore chocolate, in small quantities.

Favorite author(s)?

It's a good thing you added a (s) to this, or else I might have passed this question up as too hard to answer correctly.
Gaston Leroux.
H.G Wells.
Charles Dickens.
Agatha Christie.
Lousia May Alcott.
Abigail Hartman
Jon S. Lewis.
Arthur Conan Doyle.
Baroness Orczy.

Besides essentials, what would you take on a visiting voyage to a foreign land?

My camera, and a parasol.  It just seems right to travel with a frilly parasol.
And a book..or two.
And my iphone.
and my journal.

In which century were most of the books you read written?

Either the 18th, or modern times.

In your opinion, the ultimate hero in literature is…

Dark and Brooding. Tall and Handsome.
(AKA: Mr. Darcy, Erik And Somewhat Sherlock)

Describe your ideal dwelling place.

I have a good idea.
A simply cottage in the Irish countryside.
I want it to be covered with ivy, be tucked away near a stone bridge crossing a bubbling creek.
I shall have a simply flower garden with white roses, but I might paint some of them Red.
My desk will be in the livingroom, faces the rising sun, and I shall have a fireplace close at hand. By the window to the left of my desk will be a lazy Grey cat, named Percy. He shall be an utter sweat thing.  I'll also have a Black cat, Sherlock, but he will be more active and distanced, more of a loner.

Sum up your fashion style in five words.

Have you ever wanted to change a character’s name?

I wish Lestrade has a first name, but other then that, no.

In your opinion, the most dastardly villain of all literature is...

Chauvlin, or Moriarty?  The dictionary says, "adjective cowardly; meanly base; sneaking:".  Chauvlin.  My beloved James Moriarty isn't at all sneaking or Cowardly.

Three favorite Non-fiction books?

The Bible, I kissed Dating Goodbye (Joshua Harris), Thunder Dog (Michael Hingson)

Your duties met for the day, how would you choose to spend a carefree summer afternoon?

Choose? Watch movies and read. All. Day. Long.

Create a verbal sketch of your dream hat - in such a way as will best portray your true character.

Eh, I really don't like Hats.  I like Fez (Fez's are cool), and I like Stetsons, I also like Pill box hats, but none of those really describe me.
Oh, I know. A dark cloak's hood.
Thats it.

Turning 16, I got my purity ring, and it was just a really good Father/Daughter time.
Growing Closer to Joanna.  She is a wonderful girl, peoples.
And, all the ER visits.  I haven't been sick, but Shiloh has had a bit of a rough time. Hitting her head hard, even being born, I have learned to really just let go, and trust God.

Share the Bible passage(s) that have been most inspiring to you recently.

SEEK.
Not, "Happen to find and go, "Oh! I'll put this in my pocket!".
But Seek.
I need to do more seeking.

Weekly Wonders.

Miss Nova over at Forgotten Paper Airplanes (her blog is awesome. I love it) is starting a new weekly linkup...I'll let her explain it:

"Here's how it works. There will be a specified category for that week (inspirational, random, wedding, etc.), and you will post as many pictures as you wish in that specific category. And...just to test it out, we'll do random this week. I'm not sure how well this is going to work, considering I don't have a button, nor do I have a link thing...working on it.

So, this week's category is random. Which means any picture you've found that you just love"

So, my pictures, (thought included free of charge)

Atticus Finch, you never cease to make me smile.  I even named my lamp after him. (I name everything).  It is a green Banker's lamp...(Like THIS one).  The moment I got it, I thought, "This looks like a lamp A Lawyer would use..." It got the name 'My Atticus Lamp'.

NOVA! Isn't Tom's eyes normally blue, however?  He must be wearing contact, or something.

No comment.  (My brother, Zeb asks who he is, I said, "Loki. He's a bad guy".  Zeb: "Duh.  All bad guys look cool")

You wont believe how many times I've said this.  Half hoping blue fire will come out of my palm.  It doesn't work. I need a Rider Tattoo on my palm first...

I haven't watched the Eragon movie...yet...but I think they matched the actor up PERFECTLY with the character.  This, is so Durza.   The only difference that I feel that is kinda big...is Shades have Maroon eyes. Not light blue.  Light Blue looks good on Durza, however.
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE?!?!?

I sympathize.

Ya know, I use this quote a lot.
And this picture:

Unless you are a fellow Phantom/Erik lover...and you read the book before the movie...you just won't get the splendor of this picture.  The realisticness.
Forget Gerard Butler.
^THAT^ is what Erik really looked like.

And one last Hiddles picture for Nova, because I like you, *wink*

Ok.  So...I forgot to say anything about the Wissmann's visit.  I am ashamed. Forgive me.
We had a BLAST. In capital letters.
Me and Hannah W. (who is a little less then a year older then me.  She is 16, and I'm about to be 16) talked about loads of things.
Books, reviewing, books, Wild West Bandits, Books, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Books, her married Siblings, book.
You get the pattern, right?

I'm sad that we have to wait a full year until we can see them again...but at least I gave Hannah my email address..and I friended her on FaceBook..so..maybe the year will pass quickly.

Fairfallen, dearest Readers! Until another day!

(P.S.  Dance of the sugar Plum fairies...MmmMmmMmmm!)
