My blog has gone to weed lately, hasn't it?  Don't worry, I'm making plans to come alive again (ooooh, my blogiversary is just around the corner!), and with it, may come changes.  Including, but maybe not including, a new blog name which will mean a new design.  As of lately, I'm changing. 

Who am I kidding, I'm always changing. 

I believe there is a disney Pocahontas quote that says something about people not being steady at all? Thats me. 

I'm an ever changing river, rushing weaving and going all sorts of different ways.  I'm a gypsy soul that is learning how to be who it needs to be. And, in the meantime, I'm learning a lot about myself. 

In truth, thats just a really meodramatic way to put a slow change in interest.  But, I don't take interests lightly. Interests are my life, they are who I am. 

I'm still the girl who loves britian like she loves air (she sometimes forgets how much she needs it to live), and is still trying to be a brit and drinks tea daily and still can't stand the taste of that sweet southern stuff (thats a lie. I can. but if you set a sugar-and-cream Earl Grey and iced glass of Sweet Tea before me, guess which one I would pick).   But, I'm also more people. 

I'm a kaleidoscope, honestly.

So, until a (preferably not so long) next time.

to be perfectly frank and honest and open and all that good stuff, i have no idea what is really and truly going on. is blogger going to really make the stupid of all stupid moves and get rid of google friend connect as it has been said?

ok, so, but, i have made preparations, and, you can follow Cheery-O on blog lovin! woohoo! fun ness! I know.

so, if you look over to the side, there will be a pink little widget button next to the 'follow this blog' button, and you can follow there.
For those unfamiliar with Bloglovin, its just a way to follow your favorite blogs outside of google friend connect (the normal way of following).  it does require you to make an account to sign up, but it's free and really just nothing to do so. 
AND, the nice thing, it sends email updates on your blogs to the email you sign up with, so you don't even have to go to the bloglovin website in order to keep up with your favorite blogs!

Four years peeps.

Four awesome Years.

The best, and worst Four years of my whole life.

For four years you guys have put up with my Adoxography (Look up the meaning. Please do) 

When I started Cheery-O (then under the name of 'Notes of the Field') I hardly knew what I was doing. I only read two other blogs; my Mom's and friend's. I didn't even know what 'following' was. When I discovered this lovely thing called 'following' and 'followers' I was simply blown away, and promptly followed the two blogs I read. A few other friends got blogs, and then, I followed my first blog of someone I didn't know IRL. I thought I was being a stalker, and was to timid to even comment.  

And then, when I got my first follower, I was sure they would try hunting me down, and kidnapping me. Ok...so..I was a little dramatic (I still am a dramatic person, but the said drama has shifted to other things. Fictional people, life, and songs).  I didn't think my life could actually be that interesting that some random person would actually follow me. And, 170 random people later, I still don't know what makes me so special to have all of you lovely people. Really, blogging isn't about how many followers you have, or how many comments you get, but I'd be lying to say it isn't a pretty amazing part. And, I will never turn down more followers/comments.

As I grew in my daily life, I began to change, or, fit into the mold I was always meant for.  I began blogging more inspirational/random/interesting posts instead of just daily life. And, I felt 'Notes From the Field' was a part of my life that needed to be let go of. So, NFTF changed to 'Cheery-O'.  And, you guys have stuck by as I experimented, toyed, and changed. My life has changed so much these last 4 years. You could say these 4 years have been the pivotal years in my life. But you guys were always there. My blog was always there. I could always depend on you, even if not all of you comment, I still see the pageviews. And, 100+ pageviews a week is rockin'.

Anyway, here I am, rambling on and on, and I'm sure you all want to see what sort of giveaway this absent minded professor has put together.

After seeing many blogger folk join, I decided to.  I love giveaways, and I love tags, so this was right up my alley. ;-)

Favorite thing about summer? Summer?  What is that like? Oh, yeah..that season were I stay inside? oh...um..swimming I guess.

Gotta tic? ya know, biting your nails, scrunching your nose, etc? Biting my nails.  and  I got in the HORRIBLE habit of pushing my glasses up without hands. Yup.  I scrunch up my nose and they push up.  It makes my Mama laugh at me...so I'm working on the nose problem, and almost done with nail biting.

I'm going to go to the point. Yep, that is what I am going to do.

A lot of blogs have vintage, oh-so-awesome sidebar pictures, Girls who do, where in this mixed up world wide web do you get them?!?!   I am in need of some vintage, poodle skirty, 1950s photography.  Any clues on where to get them would be SO gratefully taken!

A new blog is up and (sorta) running!

The Epic Reader!

I started my own book review blog, I'm hoping to someday be as great as Shaynie, but, as Joe of great expectations said, "To be a uncommon scholar, you must first be a common one".  SO, I will settle down for what I am- a new book reviewer with much ground to break.
