Strawberry Outing

TO prove that I DO do more then school and blogging nonsense here....Look!

There is a local U-pick (Named that cuz, well, you pick!) farm that sells strawberries April-June.  We got there a little late, and the berries were small and scarcer. Last year we went, we filled 3 boxes in about 10 minutes, this year, it must have been close to an hour or two.  But we did get those boxes sorta filled.   And they DO let you eat as you pick, just as long as you PICK and BUY more then you EAT. They teasingly told us that they weigh you BEFORE you go in the fields, and then when you leave they were going to weigh us again.  Yeah..right.

But despite their small-ness, these little red fruits were super sweet!  And yummy.  and hard to pick more and buy then eat.  :-D

Red and round (ish).

Ever wonder what a strawberry flower looks like?

It was a little more then overgrown, but here are some of the picker team!

"Slow going?" ~Inigo Montoya from Princess Bride~

To eat or not to eat?

Titus about to devour a GREEN berry. He liked the green ones better, for some reason, then the red ones.  Weird child.

AND in the mouth it goes.

"Was it good bubby?"

Ok, so maybe he'll try a red one this time.....

Ruby was a very good picker!  She would ask mama, "Is this a good one?" and once she got the 'yes', in the mouth it went.  Hey, I didn't say she was a good 'putter-in-the-boxer' and she WAS a good picker!

Poor shrunken strawberry!

Our kinda, maybe, sorta filled boxes.

More like it!

Did I mention that they also has bee hives?  Strawberry honey!  Sounds good, if you liked honey.  Which I don't.  But Daddy couldn't resist buying some.  I do have to say, it was good. I'm just not a honey bear. :-D lol

They also had like a little 'zoo' of farm animals.  ♥ the sheep!

And a lonely peacock!  He had no peahen...poor fella, and the big, haughty turkey in the next cage over had a hen or two.

Piglet!  er, well, piglet is cuter...and cleaner....

Titus was enthralled by the turkey!  This was one big guy.  He kep't puffing up and thundering.

Afterwards, we went to our friends, The Peyton family, house.

Apparently, My little sisters think they Peyton girls have the best dress up ever.

Also....don't think I told y'all this...We had to get rid of Sarge...the poor puppy, He killed one of our Guineas (that is the reason We only have 2 Guineas), so a lady that works at Daddy's office took him, I felt so sorry for Sarge, He didn't want to go with her when We got there, Zeb had to carry him to her truck, :-(.

RooRoo, Shauna and Kyla

Here are some really cute Pictures that I took today,

I told them to look at each other, since they wouldn't hug, ;-)
Shauna is looking at a picture that she took on the little girl's camera, she never knew that I took it!
Now, I just love this picture!! is it not so cute??
this one is cute too, she can be such a good pose, when she wants ,
this one was taken yesterday, it was quiet sunny so it made their faces shadowy, also it was rather hot, so none of them wanted to give Me a real smile, but this one was fine enough for Me!

I took all these on My tripod ( which I am loving!), it is so nice to have one!

Sickies and more

Will this ever end??????????

Last night We ate at Pizza hut for Annaruth's birthday dinner, and guess what??? Yep, if you guessed that Benna got sick at the restaurant then you are100 percent right! she was acting OK, considering, but just as the poor waitress came to bring our food, out it came, the poor lady placed the food on the table ( the clean end) and ran for napkins, she dropped a handful of napkins on the table and scooped up the mess, how wonderful of her, so I hauled Benna off to the bathroom, and when I came back We all ( except Benna, of course) ate a few Pizzas then left, how frustrating! I can hardly wait for this to be over!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired of posting about sickies, but other than that, what is there???

OK, let Me think.............

Well, the puppies are growing fast, so is Princess' kittens, They wont come inside when they decide to be born!!

RooRoo got a bike and 'chutes and ladders' from Mama and Daddy, Puzzles and a dollar from Nana and poppy and Zeb gave her a ball from Pizza hut. Her cake is premade from Wal-mart, it is white and has her name on it She can hardly wait to eat it, but We are going to wait until Benna feels better, poor Baby, at Pizza hut while We where eating Benna was saying "hey!" (yes, she can say that now!) and had a confused look on her face.

I am reading about Susanna Wesley.

still haven't finished our garden.....we will sometime soon, We are determined to do so!

So.... I guess there is something else to say..... well...got to go, I guess.

Bye!
