Hmaburger and Red

Our two newest editions!  'Hamburger' the Calf and 'Red' the dog/puppy.

Red just showed up one day, We think she might have been left here, But whoever her last owners were, they took good care of her, She smelled nice, like she had been an indoor dog, and her coat is shiny and smooth. We didn't plan on keeping her,but she 'adopted' us. Red follows Titus EVERYWHERE he goes outside (which Mama really liked) and she looks like she may have a bit of red bone hound in her, plus has already shows her eagerness for hunting (which Evan REALLY likes! Evan has LONG wished for a hunting dog) and on top of it all, is plain out a good, lovey dog! (which I really like!  ;-D)

And now to Hamburger. We got him from a local dairy, and plan on butchering him when he gets big enough. Mama assigned him to Evan for bottle feeding, since I would get WAY to attached to him.
That is the two newest animals, hopefully soon We can get more chickens and as soon as Hamburger is about 5-6 months old, We plan on getting another bull calf.

Oh, Something else that is wonderful about Red is that she is a good guard dog, and even though she likes tracking and chasing deer, she doesn't bother our birds!

this is the first time since....

.....I was 5 that I have NO pets!!!

a few days back, we where getting supper ready, and this truck came soaring past, all of a sudden we heard this loud BANG and the truck stopped, backed up, then went forward and left.

we had thought that he might have blown a tire, but Zeb and Mama went down to the road to investigate, it wasn't a tire that they found, but Sabastian.

he was dead, and Mama thinks that it was instant, I'm 13 now, and I have had pets all along since I was 5, so, I'm am completely pet-less!

P.S seeing how I was planning on getting rid of sabastian, I wasn't beat up in the least, and you know, I'm not sure how happy he would be in a unfamiliar home, he has been here since puppy hood, and he is a full grown dog now, so he most likely wouldn't be happy else where.

I've only got one left.....

Yesterday I had two pets, but now I've only got one.
Last night We locked the cats up in a pen to keep them out of the house while We had the windows up, (just a few of our windows have screens), after Dinner We had forgetten them, and left them in their cage.
then, this morning, when Daddy went to work, He found Tigger, dead.
the dogs like to play with the cats, but, I guess this time they played a bit too ruff, some how the cats got out of the cage, Princess and Katie both got away, but My Tigger didn't.
It is kinda hard to believe that Tigger is gone, but, things like this happen, I'm not beat up about it, it happens.

Hey howdy hey!

Well, so much has happened!

Today We where participants in a fall festival that was held in Cottendale, and next Saturday We'll be there again, come join Us! There was Hay rides, Buggy rides (the Buggy will fit 16 people.. ..snugly! ;-) , there was a pond to fish in, and, of course, since We where there, you can fill up on BBQ! (you did know that We cook BBQ...right?).
We got good business for the first day of the festival, but We would have preferred more, Oh well, it was rather fun! (I think....;-)

Little Ann had her puppies, They are SO cute!!
there are 3 females, and 6 males.
the colors rang from tan, B&W, dark dark brown, Whit-ish tan, and gray! I didn't know dogs could be gray...but this one is!

Mama posted some pictures on her blog of some unusual sized eggs that We have gotten from our chickens..Go take a look! (please!?)

P.S the reason that I didn't post pictures of the pups and the festival s cause I'm tired, and for some reason the pictures are not wantin' to load...so be satisfied with this...OK?

My lastest science experiment

OK, some of my readers may know that We have some pretty weird 'pets'

*1* A corn snake that We took from the wild
*2* right now, only one Brown widow, but We HAVE had more!

Now, these 2 white mice are not (I say NOT) a pet, but snake food, that is allowed to livew awhile longer, I have been testing to see what type of foods they like best,

they DO like:

*1* Grapes, but they eat the inside of the grape first, then eat the skin.
*2* Dry cereal, chocolate flavor.
*3* croutons

They do NOT like:
*1* cheese (odd, ain't it?)
*2* they are OK with raisins, but eat them last,


these are only the beginnings, I will test a bit more with their breakfast tomorrow.

Sorry for the curt post, but I've gotta go help clean up the mess in the bed room :(

So, what shall I talk about?
no kittens from Princess yet.
We are all in good health, so far, I hope We wont get sick any more this year!
Did I ever tell you that I like to blog?
I am trying to stay on track with my 'book', Chances are, I wont ever a book 'till I'm grown. already I think I've dropped it, Oh well.
I am reading a book called 'Not Regina', so far I like it.
Benna is SO cute!!
I really want to start a Business of My own, but I don't know WHAT I could sell, since I don't really have a craft hobby, I might give craft hobbies a try again, but I really don't know.
I am pretty sure I have my pictures picked out for the contest, did you know that you can enter in a maximum of 3 pictures? and if I enter in 3 pictures then I will have to pay 9 dollars, ouch, yeah, I know that 9$ isn't really that much, but that is 9$ going out ( not including the frames hat they say you have to have) and I have nothing going in, Maybe I'll open a store on Etsy. Oh, what shall I sell?
I think that when Sabastion dies ( that will be awhile yet) I don't want to get another dog untill I can have it inside, I don't like it when your pet stinks and you dont want it to lick you 'cause your afraid that the last thing that it drug up was a rat ( like one of our dogs did YUCK!!!!!).

OK....I am not able to post pictures right now, but I will inform you of another happening.

Today We got rid of our puppies, how sad, the first to go was Porcha, We hadn't even all gotten out of the van when her new owner pulled up, it was a family with young children the poor man didn't stand a chance, his children where saying "please daddy please!" and his wife was looking at him with begging eyes, that was it, they drove off with her.
next was Cherokee( Your puppy is gone, Hannah) his family is ( I believe) a Mexican couple, one man and lady was wanting him, but decided no.
then it was KIA, the Mom wanted Beretta, but the Daughter ( she was about 2 or 3) had Kia in her arms and was firm about wanting her.
next was Beretta, I forget what her owners where like.
then My baby, Dodge, I so wanted him to not find a home, cause Daddy said that we can fix the males and keep them, not so with the girls, but he found a home with a bunch of giggly girls, they where SO exited, but the Mom was almost certain that the Dad was NOT going to like them getting a puppy, but her daughters where saying stuff like "Please Mom, I'll keep in My room and do everything that needs to be done" of course the Mom said that the dog would NOT be staying inside, but outside in the yard.
last of all was Chevy, his couple was Mexican, they seemed hesitant, especially when they heard that he didn't have any shots, but they discussed it in Mexican ( so I can't say why they decided to get him) and finally said "yes"

that was our day, it was done in about 1 1/2 hours, in between there was sign waving ( they said "free puppies", but still some people asked how much they cost) and some people stopped in just to look, now I think 'why would you 'just look' at puppies?? if you aren't going to get any then don't get the owners hopes up. some people really did want one but spouses said no, like this one couple, the lady REALLY wanted Beretta, but the Man said that they already had 5 at home, they where from new york i think, because they sounded like Daddy said they do.

So, Hannah, Your Cherokee is gone, forever ;-).

just thought that I'd tell ya.....

that Porcha is all better!! YAY!!

Puppy problem

We went to town today to get some things done, when We got back Evan and Shauna came running up with Porcha, They said she was in the water bucket, So? the Puppies water container is very shallow, "no, in the BIG dogs container!" now that container is much deeper then Porcha so that meant she must have been swimming....who knows how long!! As a matter of fact, the water bucket is 5 gallons! the poor puppy, she was shaking so they got a towel, not much better, so We took her inside and put her before a heater, still she shook, just not as bad. Her breathing sounded like she was trying to breath, cry and had water in her lungs all at the same time...who knows...maybe she was! We don't know HOW she got in there, after all, it was too tall for her to just Hop on in for a swim!
I think that They got on the porch and she fell through the rails into the bucket, but My Idea has faults, The rails may be to small for her to fit through....comfortably.

Who knows? I just hope she lives....shes not acting right.
She is such a sweet puppy! it would be terrible if she died!

Last night We ate at Pizza hut for Annaruth's birthday dinner, and guess what??? Yep, if you guessed that Benna got sick at the restaurant then you are100 percent right! she was acting OK, considering, but just as the poor waitress came to bring our food, out it came, the poor lady placed the food on the table ( the clean end) and ran for napkins, she dropped a handful of napkins on the table and scooped up the mess, how wonderful of her, so I hauled Benna off to the bathroom, and when I came back We all ( except Benna, of course) ate a few Pizzas then left, how frustrating! I can hardly wait for this to be over!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired of posting about sickies, but other than that, what is there???

OK, let Me think.............

Well, the puppies are growing fast, so is Princess' kittens, They wont come inside when they decide to be born!!

RooRoo got a bike and 'chutes and ladders' from Mama and Daddy, Puzzles and a dollar from Nana and poppy and Zeb gave her a ball from Pizza hut. Her cake is premade from Wal-mart, it is white and has her name on it She can hardly wait to eat it, but We are going to wait until Benna feels better, poor Baby, at Pizza hut while We where eating Benna was saying "hey!" (yes, she can say that now!) and had a confused look on her face.

I am reading about Susanna Wesley.

still haven't finished our garden.....we will sometime soon, We are determined to do so!

So.... I guess there is something else to say..... well...got to go, I guess.

This is Kia, The cute little runt, she is a whitish/tan, she is around 7 1/2 long,Dodge, it looks like he is saying"hold the picture!" ;-) (-: the white you see is mostly what there is, he does have some on his back and a bit more on his Tummy, Dodge is around 10 in long,


This Zeb's Puppy, Geo, well, he is now Russell, he is a short & Fat pup! of all the Male puppies he has the most white an him, Russell is shorter than all the Puppies exept Kia, he is around 9 in long,

Cherokee, he was being naughty and would not hold still for long!! this is the best we could get! Cherokee has some white on his back, but Dodge has more, cherokee is around 10 in long,
Porcha is white, as you can see! no tan, no black exept on her nose! Daddy says it would be neat if when her eyes open that they will be red! that would be so cool! Porcha is around 10 in long,

and chunky Beretta! she is Zeb's Favorite, but daddy said no females, so Zeb suited for Russell, but isn't Beretta such a pretty Tan?? she is a hunk of a puppy! Beretta is longer than all the puppies, she is around 11 in long.

All the Puppies eyes are opened exept Porcha's, her's are only beginning to open.

Puppys are born!!

Finally! We don't have very good pics, so you will have to wait for those! they where born on the 19th and 20th, Mama stayed up until like 3:00 AM, I only made it to 2:00. :-)

first born was Chevy, all black except for a streak of white on his chest,
next was Kia, she is the runt, she is a cream color,
than it is Dodge, he is Brown with some white on his back,
Geo is next, he is brown with a lot of white on his face,( special note to Molly, remember Rascals 'eyebrows'? Geo has eyebrows too!),
After Geo it is Porcha, she is white!! she is small too, but not as small as Kia,
Then it is Cherokee, he is brown with no white around his eyes, but he does have white on his tummy, chest and neck,
Last of all is Beretta, she is a beautiful tan.

Evan's favorite is Chevy,
Mine is Geo,
and Zeb's is Beretta,

little Ann (the Mama) is very protective over them, she won't growl, she'll just whimper if you have one or two out for awhile, but Puppies are so much louder than kittens! they are in the boy's room so they kept Zeb awake for awhile last night!

NOTE: you pronounce Geo's name as 'GO' the letters.

Pamperd pet

Little Ann is real close to having her puppies so, since its been so cold the boys gave her a bath and she is now in 'doggy Paradise' indoors. ;-)

I've told you about our dogs, 3 now, here are some pictures of them.

Sebastian, my dog, He is sweet but not very smart, he has gotten ran over by our van, he just would not move when we cranked up the van.
Little Ann, named after the little Ann in the book, where the red fern grows. She is Evan's puppy.
Here is retardo and little Ann.
Cocoa, She is actually our neighbor's puppy, But much to Daddy's annoyance, Has claimed us.
Our two not-so-smart Dogs.

I really do like all of the dogs, fidgety Cocoa, Smart Little Ann, And Sebastian Boch.

Yeah, Lillie and Carlotta Died.

We found them Dead Friday morning ( 10-10-2008 ), They where not Quite Stiff (Evan said so, I did not find out!) When we found them, Together They died, Together They where buried.

Sorry I have not written in a while!!!!

No pictures this time. So I'll try my best to descibe our bunch of pets for you!

THE CATS
my cat is Tigger, he is a Tabbie and also very smart. he is the grandson of my first cat Toby.
Zeb has two cats, Tiger and rutardo, Tiger is a gray Tabbie and rutardo is all black with a patch of white on his chest. rutardo got his name when accidentally stepped on him, ever since he wasn't been quite right in the head:-) Kyla has two cats, Katie and pebbles both females. Shauna has three cats, smoky, princess and fog all gray and guess what, Princess is pregnant again, last thing we need, more cats!!! I think that's all the cats (so far!)

THE DOGS
we just have two dogs (puppys really) There names are Sebastian boch( pronounced Bock, named after the composer)and little Ann. Sebastian is mine, Little Ann is Evans. They LOVE to chew on garbage and such.
